Jessica Fine:

Jessica Fine is a singer/songwriter from Illinois. After graduating from the University of Miami's School of Music she traveled to New York City to pursue her music career. While in NYC she released two CDs, played countless shows at legendary venues and was a part of unbelievable musical experiences. Having said all that, she also knew that she had to give music everything she could so she decided to quit her job and move down South! After a year in Atlanta playing shows with incredibly talented musicians, making new friends and enjoying time at home, Jessica moved to Los Angeles where she just finished her new EP. Her voice has been compared to Sarah Mclachlan, Sara Bareilles, and Fiona Apple. Her honest lyrics and unique voice sets her apart from other artists. Jessica's music is not only pop music at its best...it's great music at its best.

Xian & The Infidels:

First, let' s deal with the name of the band…Xian is pronounced “Christian.” That's the lead singer and songwriter’s name: Christian Bordal. He was once a pretentious young ponce (English term, meaning pretentious pain in the arse) who spelled his name with an X.

An “infidel” is “one who is not a Christian or who opposes Christianity.” An unbeliever.

So the name is kind of a pun…get it?

Some version of the band has been around for a long time. The latest incarnation boasts the fabulous talents of:

Thomas Hornig on drums. Originally from Berlin, Thomas is that rare thing: a sensitive German. If you throw things at the stage, he will cry. He has no hair on his head or his legs. Don’t ask. But he can keep a beat, and that’s all we really care about.

Rob Fresco on bass. Rob is the coolest guy in the band. He can grow a beard faster than anyone. And he doesn't need any of us, cause he already has a big beautiful house and writes for TV. But there’s a little piece of him -- we’ll let you guess which piece -- that still belongs to music…that’s still an Infidel. He just can’t seem to shake it.

Lisa Castle on background voice and shaking things. Lisa is the coolest girl in the band. Come to think of it…Well, anyway, Lisa was once an opera star in the Dutch East Indies. She knows all the polytones and is in the Guinness Book of World Records cause she can sing three-part harmony by herself. Mostly she’s in the band cause she’s a lot cuter than the boys and she does all our elaborate hair and make-up.

Mark Leggett on electric guitar. Mark rips. And tears. And shreds. He’s also a decent guitar player. But when he’s not turning his Marshall stax up to 11, he prefers the quiet contemplative life, so he lives way the F out in the northern Valley somewhere. For pity’s sake, don’t offer him a margarita before the gig; we’ll nevergethimuponstage.

That only leaves…

Kenny Burgomaster on keys. Also known to his friends as Kenny Jägermeister, Kenny once downed so much of that rancid German digestif that he has Jägermeister PTSD. The slightest whiff, will make him sing the Star Spangled Banner to the tune of Deutschland Über Alles. Mostly he’s in the band cause he drives a Tesla, which is pretty effin’ cool.

Influences: Barbara Streisand, Ian Dury and the Blockheads, shoplifting things we don’t really need, early episodes of Miami Vice, Patti Smith, Tiny Tim, Melanie, Bjørn Dæhlie, Carlos Castaneda and the yucky way of knowledge, Burt Bacharach, Elvis (Costello), Joe Cocker and his Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Uriah Heep, The Incredible String Band, the red wedding, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, The Slits, death metal…frenzy!
